Rene Jules Lalique was born in AY, a small village in the Marne region of France on April 6, 1860, and died May 5, 1945. The key ingredient that inspired was the traditional masculine vetiver. This fragrance contains bergamot, cedar, and musk scents. .The new perfume is described as having a marked woody character. It makes use of two different types of vetiver: Bourbon vetiver which is warm, rich, and offers leathery accents and Haitian vetiver which is mysterious, smoky, and almost dirt-like.
