A fortuitous discovery of a base essence by Jean-Charles Brosseau was made in 1978, but only in 1981 through the efforts of a talented buyer in New York who decided unhesitatingly to make it into a star fragrance; it was baptized Ombre Rose. In 1981, he created his first perfume "Ombre Rose", which became quickly a best seller in France, the USA, the Middle-East, and the Far-East. Jean-Charles Brosseau brand is distributed in more than 30 countries around the world.

Jean Charles Brosseau fragrances are made in association with perfumers Pierre Bourdon, Nathalie Lorson and Francoise Caron.
