Estee has attraction towards beauty products right from her childhood and so she started her career selling skin creams manufactured by her uncle. After her marriage, with the help of her husband, she launched her own company known as Estee Lauder Company in 1935. In 1953 Lauder introduced her first fragrance, YOUTH DEW, bath oil that doubled as a perfume. Instead of using their French perfumes by the drop behind each ear, women were using Youth Dew by the bottle in their bath water. Lauder was a subject of a 1985 TV documentary called Estee Lauder: The Sweet Smell of Success.
