Liquid Cleansers were primarily introduced in 1990’s, revolutionizing the skin care marketplace by presenting a less harming alternative to bar soaps. The production of liquid cleanser is more straightforward process than that of bar soaps. Liquid cleaners are blended mixture of milder surfactants and better moisturizers. The emollient rich liquid facial cleanser is best for normal skin type.

There are three types of liquid cleansers namely, Humectant-Rich Body Cleansers, Emollient-Rich Body Cleansers and Low-Foaming Body Cleansers. All the three types possess different properties. The surfactant used in emollient rich body cleanser is milder than that of other washes that causes less damage to the skin. It always sojourns on the skin and moisturizes it.

The liquid face cleansers that are emollient rich are made by two famous companies Dove and Olay. Its main constituents are water, glycine soja, an occlusive petroleum and ammonium lauryl sulfate which is a milder surfactant. Liquid body cleansers are generally mild, less irritating and contain pH similar to normal skin. It rinses off well, which decreases potential for skin reactions and leaves a fine moisturizing film on the skin.
